What is mastering?
The final step of audio post production is called mastering. It’s putting on the final touches on a mix so it translates well to all speakers and various playback formats.
This process includes:
• Listening tracks for small glitches that can be fixed in audio restoration.
• Using effects such as EQ’s, multi-band compressors, Stereo enhancers and limiters to improve the sonic quality of the mix.
